Hospital 175 (Ho Chi Minh City) required a complete upgrade of its cleanroom air filtration system serving the operating rooms and ICU. Air Filtech conducted a site survey, designed the solution, and implemented an air filtration system meeting the ISO Class 7 standard, using HEPA H14 filters, a Terminal Housing system, and a positive-pressure control solution to ensure a sterile environment per medical requirements.

The project was completed on schedule within 8 weeks, passed particle-count acceptance testing per the ISO 14644-1 standard, and was handed over for stable operation.

Scope of Work

  • Site survey and solution consulting.
  • Supply and installation of HEPA H14 filters (Terminal Housing).
  • Implementation of a positive/negative pressure control system by zone.
  • Acceptance testing per the ISO 14644-1 standard.
  • Quarterly maintenance and inspection.

Technical Challenge

The project’s biggest requirement was that the hospital had to maintain continuous medical operations throughout the filtration system upgrade. Air Filtech developed a phased, zone-by-zone construction plan, combined with dust, pressure, and safety control measures to minimize impact on the operating rooms and ICU as much as possible.

The entire implementation process was closely supervised to ensure construction progress, technical quality, and compliance with cleanroom standards in the medical field.

Results Achieved

  • Achieved the ISO Class 7 standard (≤352,000 particles/m³ at ≥0.5 µm).
  • Maintained stable positive pressure at +10 Pa, limiting the risk of contaminated air infiltration.
  • Reduced filter replacement costs by approximately 60% through optimized maintenance and operating cycles.
  • The system operated stably for the first 12 months without any technical incidents.
